Green Day finally took their pop punk sound to a major label in 1994 with the release of the classic Dookie. Recorded in just three weeks the album became a breakthrough sensation eventually selling more than ten million copies. Since then the band has become a major mainstream rock act with overall sales of more than 50 million to their credit. DVD one features a major retrospective of the band and its work so far. Featuring as its back drop breathtaking live footage of Green Day in action including film of the band's infamous Woodstock appearance in 1994 the programme calls upon some of those who have worked with the band to give their thoughts opinions and recollections. These include Larry Livermore the founder of Lookout Records and former band mate of Tre Cool who was an important figure during their early days John Lucasey owner of Studio 880 where the band recorded their classic American Idiot album who provided the background to that best selling record and Jon Ginoli guitarist and singer with the band Pansy Division who toured with Green Day on their Dookie tour. DVD two features Green Day live in concert performing at Woodstock 94 and also features unreleased live concert footage.
