From the moment she opened her mouth in song it was clear that Rosemary Clooney had an extraordinary gift a sound that would touch the world. During the 1950s she scored four number one and 13 top 40 hits and engaged in a brief film career but a crushing work load the birth of five children in five years and the divorce propelled her to toward breaking point. It was a long hard road back to respectability but by the end of the 1970s Rosemary had mounted a triumphant comeback. The combination of a beautiful voice and maturity that she now brought to her performances made Rosemary not just a gifted artist but a great one. Signed to Concord Records she released a series of jazz albums and CDs that earned her eight GRAMMY nominations.
